The American West is often described in scale — big skies, long distances, endless terrain.
What holds my attention is quieter.
Light here rarely behaves the way you expect. Mountains delay the morning. Evenings disappear earlier than they should, yet somehow can also linger with their own soft glow. Canyon walls reflect and reshape the day, filling deep shadows with warmth when the sun is at its highest.
I’m less interested in the obvious moments than the ones that ask for patience and awareness.
